The airports we serve
EMS arranges transfers to and from Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport, Tunis-Carthage Airport and Enfidha-Hammamet Airport. The choice often has less to do with distance than with the airline and the flight time: a departure from Sousse may run through Monastir or through Enfidha depending on the ticket. Tell us the airport shown on the booking.
Building the transport around the flight
Give us the date, the time and the flight number, along with the terminal where it is known. The transport is planned backwards from check-in, allowing for the time needed to reach the terminal and complete formalities. On arrival, allow for the fact that the gap between landing and the passenger actually coming out varies with controls and baggage.
Medical repatriation: who does what
EMS handles the road journey inside Tunisia. The flight itself, any medical escort on board, air transport authorisations and the arrangements in the destination country fall to the assistance company, the insurer or the airline. We state plainly where our part ends, so that no piece of the arrangement is left without someone responsible for it.
Working with an insurer or assistance company
If a travel insurer or assistance company is handling the case, put them in direct contact with EMS. Authorisations, medical documents and cover agreements are exchanged with their team, not through the form on this site. Going direct avoids unnecessary intermediaries and information going astray.
Arranging an airport transfer
Contact EMS with the airport, the flight date and time, the other address and the patient's needs. We confirm what is feasible and on what terms ahead of the day itself.
