EMS AMBULANCE · TUNISIA
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions that come up most often before arranging a transport with EMS.
Transport carried out by the EMS team or arranged with a partner, depending on your needs and availability.

How do I book an ambulance?
Contact EMS by phone or WhatsApp with both addresses and the date. We go through the needs together, check availability and send you a quote. The booking becomes firm once both sides have confirmed.
Do you operate across Tunisia?
EMS arranges transport throughout the country, with the heaviest activity around Monastir, Sousse and Mahdia. Other regions are assessed case by case according to availability, and we give you a straight answer.
Do you speak English?
Yes. EMS answers in English, French and Arabic, both by phone and on WhatsApp.
How much does an ambulance cost?
There is no single rate. The figure depends on the distance, the type of vehicle, the crew, how long the vehicle and crew remain committed, and whether the return leg runs empty. That is why we produce a quote for your journey rather than publishing a table that would match almost no real situation.
How quickly can you respond?
It depends on the transports already committed when you call, on the hour and on the pick-up location. We do not quote a standard response time, because it would be wrong most of the time. We tell you what is possible for your specific request.
Can you work with my travel insurer?
Yes. Put your insurer or assistance company in direct contact with EMS so that authorisations and medical documents are exchanged with their team rather than through this site.
Should I send medical records through the site?
No, and you should not. No diagnosis, report, prescription or imaging should pass through the form or over WhatsApp. Those documents go directly to the crew concerned or between facilities.
Can a partner carry out the transport?
Yes. Depending on the request and on availability, the transport is carried out by the EMS team or by a partner from our network. We tell you at the point of confirmation.
Can I arrange a return journey?
Yes. Mention it on the first call, because the return leg is prepared differently: its duration is rarely known in advance and the waiting has to be built into the arrangements.
Does a WhatsApp message confirm the transport?
No. The transport is booked only once EMS has explicitly confirmed availability, price and arrangements. A message that has been sent, even read, is not a booking.
Does this replace the public emergency services?
No. EMS is a private medical transport company. In a life-threatening emergency, call the public emergency services without waiting for a reply to a message.
